Car A 463 which was expected to leave Ferrymead last month is still on site. It is now thought it will leave in the next few weeks. Car EA 2654 has been extricated from its shed (by slewing some existing track) and is being restored on site by contractors, destined for a new home in Papanui.

Rumour has it that our General Manager, John Regan, is moving to sunnier climes and greener pastures west of the Tasman Sea.

Reversing the brain drain, two former CRS members, Mike Anderson and James Garter have arrived back in town from afar. Both will be working with the Diesel Traction Group on their locos on the FR site. The DTG is planning a busy year with a major assault expected on DI 1820.
