The carriage shed sprinkler system has been completed.

The five Toshiba EA/EO locomotives are expected to leave Ferrymead in mid April. They will be used to run trains over the Paekakariki hill out of Wellington.

Car A 463 is expected to leave in a week or two. The Papanui carriage left two weeks ago after some of our members laid track at Papanui Station.

Dave Newman has been appointed our new General Manager as of 1 April, replacing John Regan who is relocating to Australia.

Weed cutting and spraying operations are being carried out in Moorhouse yard as part of our preparations for Easter.

The drains at the front of the carriage shed have been dug out. New stormwater pipe will be laid soon.

Vice Regal car A 1825 is having work done in order to fit replacement bogies. The bogies on the car are a high speed type and are required by Tranz Rail. As the replacements are of a different type some modifications will be required to the underframe.

D 140 is having the motion assembled, which will complete the underframe. Work is still to be carried out on the boiler.

After a hibernation of several years, the weedsprayer is being reassembled with a replacement Briggs and Stratton motor.
