Work is continuing on Price CB 113 with attention to its running gear. It has been inspected by the boiler inspector. The loco will be steamed up for inspection and test runs with the reconditioned bearings in the first weekend of August.

The weedspray unit is slowly coming together. The engine has had some parts checked and should be all going soon.

X 442 has had its loco to tender coupling separated for inspection.

LB 4803 is being painted in the workshop. The first topcoat should be going on this wagon soon so ideally the work should be completed by the end of August.

A spare gearbox for TR 156 has arrived on site.

The drain by the electric shed has been boxed up and the hole filled in.

One of the outlet valves on our water vat has had to be removed due to damage caused by the very cold weather we have been having recently. Repairs to the woodwork of the vat are also being looked at.

WD 357 has entered the workshop to have a few small jobs done before it goes to the Waipara Vintage Festival in September. Some parts of the brake system are being replaced and suspension springs reset.

The plumber has finished work in the room that we have been given in the Moorhouse Station building. Formerly the mens toilet, it now requires some floor levelling, wall lining and decorating for our use.

Platform lights have been installed at Moorhouse Station and were first used on the night run with WD 357, 14th July.
