Ferrymead Railway To Run All Days At Easter

2/4/2001

The Ferrymead Railway is to operate during all four days of the Easter holiday period. Easter is normally a time when festivals are held at Ferrymead Heritage Park.

The types of trains running are:

Friday - Diesel Saturday - Steam (CB class locomotive) Sunday - Steam (WD class locomotive) and diesel (Vulcan RM class railcar) Monday - Steam (WD class locomotive)

Due to our winter closedown, this will be the last running day for WD 357 until October (except for special days).

This year's Ferrymead Heritage Park Easter festival is based around a local adaption of "Wind in the Willows" starring Mark Hadlow. See the Ferrymead Heritage Park website for more information.
