Track Relaying Day To Be Held

24/1/2002

The next major track relaying day on the Ferrymead Railway will be held on Saturday 2 February 2002. The work will be carried out in the Moorhouse Station yard at the curve by the starter signals. Sleeper and rail replacement work is planned to be carried out.

The Track division also plans to continue relaying points into the carriage shed roads 4, 5, 6 during February. Work has recently been completed in the Locomotive Shelter siding where a trap point was fitted, Fell centre rail removed and track was lifted and packed. A new trolley stand was also built at Ferrymead Station.
