Recently I asked the NWP e-mail list group the status
of the 2 remaining wigwags on the Northwestern Pacific railroad. Seems
not much has changed since '99. The (partial) wigwag in Eureka is still
there, a sort of symbol of the current state of affairs for the NWP these
days. Harry Marnell took some detail photos of this wigwag earlier this
month and can be seen on the NWP
wigwag page.
The wigwag in Ukiah is still standing as well. I will
be making a trip up north during the last week of April and Ukiah is on
my way. I'll grab a few updated shots of it as well. I will add those to
the same page when they are ready.
