ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT

The transport. Operation of the Massawa – Agordat line Railways was in deficit during the years 1945/1948 E.C. But now with the volume of the increased traffic and the running decreased cost of the trains with the introduction of the Diesel Hydraulic locomotives, our accounts show each year an ever increasing substantial profit as shown hereunder:

The results of the working of the Railway for the year 1956 as compared with the year 1954/55 gave the following results:
