The Houston Tinplate Operators Society makes our club space available for birthday parties, scouting visits and other
group-type outings during times when we are not open to the public. These events are generally scheduled at least
two weeks in advance so as to insure our club has proper staffing. Watch the trains run on our four operating layouts,
learn from our staff how the layouts operate, and let the kids have fun playing with the wooden layout or testing their
skills finding objects on our layouts.
Whether young or young at heart, we strive to make the guests at your event have a pleasurable experience.
As a testament to these efforts, the club recently received this thank you: "This was truly the perfect setting for our event. My son and
the other children had a wonderful (somewhat rowdy) time and had plenty to look at and play with during the party. The table
was just the right size for our snacks and decorations, but the trains and the members really stole the show! My friends and
family all commented that they enjoyed the space and learning about the trains and some even noted it for their future birthday
parties. Larry, thank you for being so responsive and helpful in setting up the party! I would not hesitate to recommend this
special place for future parties or events or to have another one there myself. I am so happy this society exists in our town
as it is a special place indeed."
