Letter of Reference:

The following letter was received after a 30 day exhibit in the University of Louisville's William F. Ekstrom Library during the fall of 2000. The layout for this display was a 16'x6' setup. This is small in comparison to most of our displays, but it was a successful display that offered something to the community.

Here is the letter...

On behalf of the University of Louisville Libraries, I would like to thank you and your organization for your willingness to set up and maintain the HO Scale train exhibit in the lobby of Ekstrom Library. Having the train operating in conjuction with the exhibit on the L&N Railroad is very exciting and there have been a lot of favorable comments about the combination.

Your exhibit is attractive, well maintained and very realistic. As you well know, model trains are hypnotic and I often watch people stare at your setup for an extended time. I'm sure it is a brief but welcome time of relaxation during the busy days at the end of the semester. Another nice thing of course is the time of the year with the tradition of model trains during the holiday season.

Again please accept our thanks and gratitude for your time and effort. Be sure to extend this appreciation to other members and officers of the club who helped make the exhibit possible.

Sincerely :

David Horvath
Chair, Ekstrom Library, Exhibits and Programs Committee
