Thank you for your interest in the Kentucky & Indiana Model Railroad Club.
The K&I Model R.R. Club is composed of a group of individuals who share a common interest in the history and operation of prototype and fictitious railroads. These individuals design, build, display, and operate an HO Digital Command Control modular railroad layout.
Although the basic specifications are such that all modules can operate together, a member is free to build his/her to depict any type of railroading he/she so desires, such as city, lumber, switching, grain hauling, intermodal, mountain, etc.
Our meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. Meeting Location: Buckner Ky.
The club is a 100% NMRA club. This means you must have a membership in the NMRA [National Model Railroad Association] to join our organization. The reason for this is we need to be 100% NMRA in order to qualify for insurance on our room and whenever we run at outside shows and other venues.
Our dues, effective January, 2005, are $50.00 per year. Contact our treasurer, Paul Brennensthul (address below), and he will advise you what your dues would be at this time of year and where to mail them. Also, fill out the application form (link above) and send or email it back to me (address above) and I will get you on our web site and bulletin board. You will receive a password that will allow you access to our "members only" section. You will also start receiving e-mails and notices pertinent to the club.

Each year we try to display our layout as many times as possible. There are three primary reasons:
1) We do this to attract new members to our club,
2) We do this as ambassadors for the hobby.
3) We enjoy running the trains and showing others our achievements.
We pride ourselves in the way that we interact with the general public, and the positive response that we receive from our shows. Our layout display is a great attention getter for any mall, business, or event.
