The Almosta Railroad
Jerry Roberts - HO

A freelance HO layout created by Jerry Roberts that is 15’x30’ with a 145’ mainline. It serves the towns of “Here”, “There”, “This Place” and “That Place”. The time frame is 1935 to 1950 steam.

Directions: From Hwy 29 N turn west on Kingsfield  Rd. and proceed 3.5 miles to the second stop sign at Hwy 97. Turn left and go 1 mile to Argle Road, turn left at 2483.  Layout is in the building in the backyard.

South East Kansas Railroad
Glen Hall - N

This is an N-scale prototype layout, designed by Glen Hall, set in Coffeyville, Kansas about 15 years ago. The layout is a 12’x16’x32’ L, with the track in a figure eight and operated by DCC.

Directions: From the Civic Center take I-110 north to the Brent Lane exit. Turn right, cross Davis Hwy and turn right at first intersection on Lynell Street, then right on Phyllis Street to 609. Parking on the right just past 609.

Edgewood and South Necedah Railroad
Dan Hayden - HO

This layout depicts the transition era operations on the CNW, MILW, CB&Q railroads in central Wisconsin and eastern Minnesota circa September 1954.   Although appropriate locations, equipment and practices are modeled, space constraints required the actual track plan to be only loosely representational. The town of South Necedah takes up one 4’ x 18.5’ side of the layout and depicts the junction and interchange between the CNW’s “Twin Cities” mainline and Milwaukee Road’s “Northwoods” branch running north/south through central Wisconsin.   CNW’s double ended Edgewood Yard along the banks of the Mississippi River in South Saint Paul occupies a 2.5’ x 18’ area on the opposite side of the layout and provides classification, servicing, and maintenance.  A long narrow industrial switching area paralleling Edgewood Yard represents the southern terminus of CB&Q’s presence in South Saint Paul and provides an interchange point between both railroads  All structural components of the layout are complete and scenicing of the Edgewood side is 90% finished. South Necedah’s structures and scenicing is about 70% complete.

Directions:Take 9th Ave (east side of the civic center) north to Cervantes St. (Hwy 90). Turn right.  The name will change to Scenic Hwy as it follows the bay north and merges into Alt 90 across a 3 mile causeway toward Pace, FL. Turn left onto Woodbine RD, which is the first stop light after causeway ends (McDonalds on the left). Travel north on Woodbine about 3.5 miles and look left for Stonebrook Golf Club/Subdivision with stone entrance, which is Cobblestone Drive.  My home is at 3114 about 1-1/4 miles on the right. (Note if you come to a light on Woodbine you went to far.)
