Nahant Yard

     Nahant Switch      Operates 3 shifts / day, 7 days a week. Switches from the north end of the yard (near yard office) and usually always rates an ex-SOO GP9.
     West Dav Switch      Operates 3 shifts / day, 7 days a week. Switches out yard from north end, lining up pickups, setouts, and local cars and usually gets an ex-SOO GP9.
     West Dav Industry      On-duty 0900, Monday-Friday. Switches Purina and industries near Nahant. Usually gets an ex-SOO GP9.
     #910      On-duty 0630 at Nahant. Mon-Wed-Fri, works the Albany (Nitron) Branch north out of East Moline. Tue-Thur-Sat, works the Eldridge Branch, off the River Sub. Will also switch John Deere and NRE in East Moline.
     #914      Nahant-Clinton and return local. On-duty late evening 7 days a week at Nahant. Runs with any combination of 2 geeps.
     #918      Nahant-Savanna and return. On-duty mid-afternoon 7 days a week at Nahant. Crew takes MNABR to Savanna, switches, and returns with MBRNA.
     #919      Nahant-Ipsco and return local. On-duty 0700 7 days a week at Nahant. Runs with 2 SD40 types.
     #921      Same as #919, on-duty 1700 7 days a week.
     #927      Nahant-Linwood or Muscatine and return local. On-duty 1700 Mon-Sat.
     MKCSP      Kansas City-St Paul Manifest. Usually arrives early morning, with departure during mid-day.
     MSPKC      St Paul-Kansas City Manifest. Usually arrives early morning, with departure during mid-day.
     FKCMC      KCS "Bullet-Train" grain empties from Kansas City to Mason City. Can arrive and depart at anytime, runs as needed.
     FMCKC      KCS "Bullet-Train" grain loads from Mason City to Kansas City. Can arrive and depart at anytime, runs as needed.

     As with any railroad, extra trains do run. Pay attention to the Nahant yard master on the radio as he will often call out train symbols. KCS power can often be found in consists with or without ICE power. These usually come up on the FKCMC type grain trains. The Union Pacific also runs loaded and empty coal trains to the Mid American Energy powerplant at Fruitland (Muscatine), IA. These 110 car coal trains run with standard UP coal power and can run at anytime, as needed.
