Jan. 12, 1998: The South Erecting Shop has been demolished.
This view shows the area between the north and south erecting shops, where the transfer table is. Despite our best efforts, the vegetation obscures the whole thing. There is a rectangular area in which a piece of track - like a bridge - can move sideways. A car or locomotive can come out one door onto the transfer table, be moved sideways until it lines up with another door, then be moved inside again, or out to the rest of the railroad.
To the right, out of view is the north erecting shop while the building on the left is the south erecting shop. In the distance is Burhans Boulevard.
