Electrical Chairman Steve Kelly has been working under the layout prepping it for our new Digitrax DCC setup. The Plywood backing has been installed around the entire layout frame. Also, new 110v power bus, complete with over two dozen new outlets, has been wired up. Finally, there are six new Digitrax Super Chief control stations mounted to the backing around the layout. We are still powering the layout from our temporary dual Super Chief setup (pictured below) until the installation and wiring of the permanent setup is complete. One other key improvement to the layout is a number of switch machines and crossover switches on the layout have been rebuilt for smoother DCC operation.
