Jerold Crawford recently finished up his project; restoring 2 Griswolds that he purchased on eBay for $1300 and installing them in his driveway. They are activated by motion sensors that he normally has turned off (gotta respect the neighbors). Below is a newspaper article that appeared in his local paper that has all the details...

Some restoration highlights...

New foundations poured.

Stop signs found and the boxes are being repainted. The rest of the assembly will take place outside where there is more room.

Update...

After searching for a year, Jerold finally found an integral light
bracket with side light adapter so he could have a set of light pointing
down his street. He also replace all the street-facing lenses with the
original atomic Spread light lenses
