Visit HTOS and relive the excitement and wonder of model railroading.
The Houston Tinplate Operators Society (HTOS), is an organization of
O-gauge train modelers whose principal
interests range from true tinplate (pre & postwar) to near-scale 3-rail operation. Our organization was founded
in 1988 by a group of people who wanted to have fun running Lionel and compatible trains. HTOS is
dedicated to promoting research of 3-rail O-gauge trains and fostering the education of people in the field
of model railroading.
At left is a view of the club store front in the mall. We designed it to have a old train station feel, and the red roof
is a homage to the old Lionel 156 illuminated station platform. HTOS is one of the few O-Guage train clubs in
the Houston area, and also a club with a year-round permenant location.
