General Motors TDH-4512 (HSR #501-530, 551-562)

A total of 42 TDH-4512s (Transit bus, Diesel engine, Hydraulic transmission, 45 passenger, model #12) were bought by the HSR in 1957 & 1958. The first 30 were officially welcomed to Hamilton with a parade complete with Scottish pipers and a ceremony at City Hall on November 27, 1957. These buses lasted in service until the late 1970s, when most of the buses were sold to various companies, as listed in the table below.

Only one of these buses remains today. HSR 517 is on display at the Halton County Radial Railway Museum near Rockwood, ON
