Down by the Station...

Ironwood Michigan's former Chicago and Northwestern (CNW) depot in the heart of "Big Snow Country" was built in 1892 and saw it's last passenger train in 1971. The depot is home to the Gogebic County Historical Center in this 2/27/02 photo.

Ex-Chicago and Northwestern (CNW) depot at North Freedom, WI, was built in 1894. Currently operates for ticket sales on the Mid Continent Railroad Museum.  9/17/02 photo.

The former CNW depot at Rice Lake, WI is a commercial business in this 10/21/16 photo.  It was built in 1909 and the right-of-way is now the Wild Rivers State Trail.

  Former Chicago & Northwestern depot at Luverne, MN, 8/09/09. It's now used by the Minnesota Southern.

  Ex-CNW depot at Mercer, WI, 3/03/17. Built in 1905, it's now a museum and the only remaining RR depot in Iron County, WI.

  Ex-Chicago Northwestern depot in O'Neill, NE, 5/13/17. It's currently being renovated to benefit the Cowboy Trail.

  Ex-Omaha (CNW) depot at Mason, WI, 9/05/22.  The "Omaha Road" was the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis, & Omaha Railway,  a semi-independent line of CNW connecting Omaha, NE, to Ashland, WI. 

     This is the ex-Omaha (CNW) at depot St James, MN, 5/08/11.  Built in 1894 at Amboy, MN, and moved here in 1973, today it's a museum.

  Ex-Chicago Northwestern depot at Waseca, MN, 11/08/18 was built in 1912.  It's currently used by Canadian Pacific.

  Ex-Chicago Northwestern depot in Beresford, SD, 5/05/18. It currently houses commercial business's.

CNW depot at Worthington, MN, 5/15/07.  Built in 1898 for CNW's "Omaha Road",  it is now used by Union Pacific.

This is the ex-Omaha (CNW) depot at Winter, WI, 9/23/20. Built in 1905, it's now in the final stage of restoration for use by the local Chamber of Commerce and a rest stop on the Tuscobia State Trail.
