Above is my recently completed Kato SD40. It's custom painted and decaled. C&O SD40s always looked rough, so I weathered this one heavily.

MISSION

MILESTONES

ORIGINAL EAST END 1.0:
** Broke ground on the layout on Christmas Eve 2000. The Hancock module is underway.
** Made another section of benchwork in Mar 2001. Most likely it will be the Harpers Ferry module.
** 100 Chessie freight cars complete in June 2002.
** 10 Chessie locomotives complete in August 2002.
** First wall of benchwork constructed in December 2003.
** Second wall of benchwork constructed in January 2004.
** Third wall of benchwork constructed in December 2004.
** DCC system set up for the first time in October 2005.
** Fourth wall of benchwork constructed in July 2007.
** Complete benchwork around the upper deck completed in November 2009.
** Disassembled original East End in September 2012.

EAST END 2.0:
** Pieces of old East End, relocated to new basement in June 2014.
** First draft plan completed in July 2014.
** First piece of benchwork put up in November 2014.
** Hancock section adjusted for new basement in March 2015.
** Martinsburg section set up March 2016.
** Miller section set up March 2017.
** East staging benchwork put up in June 2018.
** North Mountain section set up Nov 2020
** Disassembled East End 2.0 in Dec 2022

EAST END 3.0:
** Pieces of EAST END 2.0 relocated to new house in July 2024
** Detached garage insulated, drywalled and painted in January 2025
** First piece of benchwork put up in January 2025
** Hancock section fully installed in March 2025
** Martinsburg section fully installed in August 2025
