CHESSIE SYSTEM
  EAST END: THE CUMBERLAND SUB-DIVISION
HO SCALE MODEL RAILROADING BY JEFF HANKE
LAST UPDATED: SEPT 9, 2018
NOTICE:
I have a Yahoogroup called Chessie_System_East_End to provide more information on

the layout and to have a better forum to address questions and update everyone on my progress.  Please feel free to join.

I will continue to update this site, but the Yahoogroup will be updated more regularly.

Above:  Two areas of the layout have made some good progress.  The backdrop is going in behind Martinsburg.  I put in the first section of Hancock above it, just to get it off the floor.  The mocked up building on the upper level is the Hancock passenger station.  I should have the rest of the backdrop done in July.  Also, the staging yard that will feed Brunswick is complete with the benchwork.  This is also the benchwork that will support the helix.  In this photo you can barely see the tracks from Martinsburg coming through the wall in the bottom right corner.  That is the start of the helix up to the second level.  The pink triangle piece will eventually be Point of Rocks and the far corner will be Point of Rocks tunnel.  Brunswick has yet to be added to the far back left wall.

Any questions or comments please direct to : jeffreyhanke@sbcglobal.net
