During the day, most trains entering Ealing Common depot will do so via 19 and 20 Roads. however test trains are routinely stabled on 'The Alps', so are directly routed there via 'A' Road, which runs 'behind' the depot buildings. The duty shunter can just be seen at the front of the train displaying a green flag, authorising the train to continue onto 'A' Road.
