Malin Yard

Malin Yard is named in honor of the late Jack Malin, one of the club's earliest members.

Malin Yard has nine tracks and represents a small urban classification yard. Four tracks are used for arrival and departure. Four tracks are used to classify cars for the local switch jobs originating here, and also for through trains that pick-up or set-out cars here. The last track is a run-through track to get from one end of the yard to the other.   The engine terminal and roundhouse are located west of the yard.

Car Shop & Yard Office

Located at the east end of Malin yard are the engine ready track, car repair shop, yard office, and yard tower.

The engine ready track acts as an extra storage area for diesels after arriving with their train. The car shop can do major repairs for any revenue equipment including wheel, axle, truck repairs, and body work. The crews and other yard personel spend their down time in the small yard office, While yardmasters keep a vigil eye on the yard during operations.
