Val Verde

Val Verde is where the double-track mainline begins to climb on the eastbound 1.25% grade, passing the Reyes industrial area, another large switching area, located on the hill above and behind the mainline.

The Malin Yard lead a.k.a the Hadley Branch parallels the main on a lower level, eventually becoming the line to the Hadley switching district.
