Engineers have to be on the lookout for
bovine oddities on the tracks around Winchester.

Winchester

At Winchester, the tracks continue climbing the eastbound grade, crossing another competing railroad before entering a broad curve.   If you listen closely, you can hear the "clickity-clack" of the wheels as they roll across the diamonds at Winchester.  The east end of the Reyes Industrial District is along the backdrop.

There is an interchange track at Winchester, and through trains can make pick-ups and setouts with the competing railroad.   The California Southern has trackage rights on this line, used to access the switching district of Hadley.
